Contemplating nature - A new layout!
Version 8 is up! I wasn't planning on getting a new layout together for another month or so, but as I haven't been in much of a creative mood I figured I could still do things around the site to make improvements. The image in the photograph is of my twin cousins, (they'll be seven in two weeks). It was taken this summer when I took them to the beach for the first time. The texture used was made by Hybrid Genesis.
Like I said, I haven't been really "creative" lately, so some things to look for coming up:
- Tables: I need to finish reorganizing all my artwork into tables based on who they feature and when they were completed, (see colorization page 1 for an example of what I mean.
- Coming Soon: If you've had a look around the site you'll notice that two of my sections have had a coming soon message for quite a few months. I hope to remedy that shortly.
- Buttons: Simply put, I have ugly buttons to link back to this site.
- Links: I need to recode my links, and remove dead links, to make the page semantically correct.
- Paginate: My textures page, icon page, and awards page are all image heavy. I'm going to seperate some of that content onto more pages.
- Textures: Speaking of textures, I have about 30 new textures to upload! (Luckily, my uncreative mood didn't extend to making textures.)
I believe this is all I have planned currently. I figure once I get the site to look better I'll be able to make some more art and get involved in a few more battles. I miss them! To those that I am currently in battles with, I haven't forgot about you! I have lots of pieces started and I'll be able to work on them more now that I'm back at school.
Anyway, I hope you guys like the new layout. If you have time, I'd love some feedback on what you think of it.

Look who's back!
Hey guys! I arrived back at school earlier this week, and that means I'll be able to update more frequently. I hate going so long without keeping up with this site and all the sites I visit. Anywho, I have done some behind the scenes updates and changes to a few of my pages, so if anything looks different that is the cause. I have a few little changes still to be made, but I hope things will be looking better and will be easier to update/navigate from now on.
Artwork
I know it has been forever since I last added/made any artwork; however, I only have a few pieces, listed below, that I have completed since April. (I know you'd expect that in 4 months there would be a lot but my muse died and I need a new one. Anyone know where I can find one?)
- So Alive: Round 9 to my battle with Melanie featuring lyrics by Ryan Adams. I also added Melanie's gorgeous round 10 to our battle.
- Poetry: Colorization featuring Zhang Ziyi
I have a few pieces in the works, so expect another update soon with more artwork and some textures!
Artist Dreams
PLUGGAGE!! For those of you that haven't heard of Artist Dreams Forum you need to check it out. All the members are extremely nice and inviting. Definetly check it out and consider joining, we'll love you!
Hosting/Hostees
Now for the bad news, currently hosting is closed on this domain because I've used up my allotment of FTP accounts. However I do have other projects on another domain that I'm considering doing, so I may be able to open up hosting there. The good news with that is I use a different host provider and it has many more FTP accounts and I'll be able to host additional people.
Speaking of hosting people, since my last update I've added 4 more hostees Brittney, James, Bri & Erin. I've also added a Hostee page. Check it out to see all the sites hosted at through-my-eyes.org.
Affiliates
No new affiliates added, but I did remove 2 because they didn't have a site up anymore. If anyone would like to affiliate with me just leave a message on my tagboard or me. I'd love a few more affiliates.
